Enjoy A Pumpkin Spice Latte on National Coffee Day with LACTAID MILK

I have received information and materials from McNeil Nutritionals, LLC the makers of LACTAID®. The opinions stated are my own. This is a sponsored post.

Today, September 29th, is National Coffee Day and I know many coffee aficionado’s are excited! I am not a big coffee drinker myself but I do love some of the creations made with coffee like Iced Coffee and Frappuccino. Yum! To celebrate National Coffee Day, LACTAID has partnered with coffee maker – Birch Coffee. And in the spirit of National Coffee Day, Birch Coffee gave out free LACTAID Lattes at their Manhattan location this morning.

Dairy Envy

Coffee lovers who are unable to enjoy regular milk will really appreciate the relief from Dairy Envy they can have by substituting LACTAID MILK in their favorite coffee recipes. Dairy Envy occurs when you wish you could enjoy milk and milk products without discomfort. It may happen to you when you’re out with friends and they’re enjoying a delicious coffee creation and you can’t. I can’t have milk products and Dairy Envy is really no fun.

Since I love coffee creations and everything pumpkin, I recreated the Birch Coffee LACTAID Pumpkin Spice Latte at home! (I’ll share Birch Coffee’s recipe at the bottom of the post so you can try both if you’d like.)

LACTAID Pumpkin Spice Latte

LACTAID Pumpkin Spice Latte

Servings:: 12 oz.

Ingredients::

  • For the LACTAID Pumpkin Spiced Latte:
    • 3 tablespoons Pumpkin spice simple syrup

    • 1/2 cup of LACTAID Milk (whole)

    For the Pumpkin Spice Simple Syrup

    YIELDS: 1 1/2 cups

    • 1 1/2 cup water
    • 1 1/2 cup organic cane sugar
    • 1 tablespoon ground ginger
    • 1 tablespoon ground nutmeg
    • 3 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice

    To make the Pumpkin Spiced Simple Syrup:

    1. Bring about 1 1/2 cups of water to a boil.
    2. Pour boiling water over spices and sugar in a quart container.
    3. Whisk lightly until contents dissolve into water.
    4. Transfer to a jar and refrigerate.

          To make the LACTAID Pumpkin Spiced Latte

  1. Add Pumpkin spice simple syrup to mug.
  2. Brew coffee using either standard drip method or home coffee machine.
  3. Pour coffee over simple syrup in mug.
  4. Bring 1/2 cup of LACTAID Milk to 140 degrees Fahrenheit.
  5. Pour warmed LACTAID Milk into mug and stir.

This makes a nice sized coffee mug full and tastes wonderful. I think it would also be great served over ice if you like iced coffee beverages.

Or try them both and see which one suits you best! There’s no reason why you can’t enjoy coffee creations when you have milk sensitivity. LACTAID Milk makes a great replacement for regular milk or creamers in your favorite coffee recipes.

Happy National Coffee Day from Honestly Andrea and LACTAID!
